NEC & Global Speech Networks team for hosted call centres

Exchange, Vol 20, No 31, 15 August 2008

NEC Australia has formed a partnership with Global Speech Networks - whch provides call centre functionality under a software as a service (SaaS) model - that will enable NEC to offer managed services snapping on-premise and hosted systems, or a mix of the two.

Under the arrangement NEC will be able to deliver parts of its Genesys software suite as a hosted solution and Global Speech Networks will gain access to NEC's technology alongside its other hosted services.  NEC claims that the combination "delivers a complete contact centre system for any size of organisation."

Craig Norton, general manager, marketing at NEC Australia said: "The partnership with Global Speech Networks allows customers to pay only for what they use, quickly and easily scaling their technology requirements to match their customer needs."

Frost & Sullivan predict that the market for hosted contact centres will grow at a compound rate of 31.8 percent annually across APAC to 2013.
